What is Yoga?
Yoga is a multidimensional practice that offers benefits on many levels for a person. On a physical level, yoga offers all the benefits possible: weight loss, better range of motion, strength, toning, core abs. On the level of the mind yoga offers a means to experience meditation and alleviate stress by teaching us skills to help us transcend the thinking mind… the source of our suffering. For those who are so inclined yoga is a spiritual practice that helps us to realize our true nature, which is eternal and divine.
Is Yoga a Religion?
Religions are for politics mostly. Yoga is a spiritual tradition that can be practiced by people of all faiths. In fact yoga is likely to help people practice their own religion with more authenticity to the original spiritual sources.
Can Yoga Improve my sex life?
Absolutley! Yoga brings better circulation to all parts of the body and circulation issues are at the heart of erectile dysfunctions. Yoga and eating less garbage are the keys to a much better sex life!
Is Yoga just stretching?
No yoga is much more than stretching since it operates not only on the level of the physical body but also with the mind and spirit.
Can i do yoga if i am not flexible?
Yes very few people actually start their yoga career flexible. That is why we practice yoga- to increase our range of motions and feel better than we did before we found the practice.
Will Yoga help me lose weight?
Yes Yoga will likely help you lose weight for two reasons. The exercise daily and the burning of calories is one reason and the other is the awareness that is developed that helps us to transcend the unconscious patterns that were keeping us from losing weight.
