Fred Busch
ABOUT FRED
Fred Busch is a dedicated practitioner of Yoga, author of A Clear and Definite Path- Enlightenment and Health with Yoga and Holistic Living, and producer of several DVDs on Power Yoga and Eating Wisely. He is the founder and Director of Miami Yogashala’s three locations, and is the Director of Teacher Training at Fulham Yogashala in London and Lima Yogashala in Peru. Fred is a graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Natural Resources and Environment.
One of the nation’s premier Yoga instructors, Fred Busch is widely known for his art in modifying the student's practice toward an individual application of Yoga. Fred is only 34 years old yet has been studying Zen Buddhism and meditation since for over 19 years. This background together with his Enlightened Realization while almost dying and ill in bed for weeks in Africa qualify and empower him to seemlessly blend the very deepest realizations of Yoga in his sometimes vigorous Power Yoga experience. His one pointed attention, intelligent use of healing sequencing and holistic knowledge of healthy eating allow him to really help a wide variety of people.
As an environmentalist and nature lover from his earliest days, Fred has never lost his vision that a healthy planet and healthy people are two sides of the same coin.
Fred was initiated into Devanagari, commonly known as Sanskrit, 9 years ago by his Sanskrit/Yoga Philosophy master Manorama. She is from the lineage of Brahmananda Sarasvati, founder of the Ananda Ashram in New York. Fred provides Sanskrit language instruction in his Teacher Trainings and offers private Sanskrit lessons.
A humble student of Yoga, Fred Busch gives all credit to the following Yoga Masters as his direct Teachers: Sri Sri Dharma Mitra from the lineage of Yogi Gupta; Gary Kraftsow, a long time direct student of Sri T. Krisnamacharya; Tias Little, direct student BKS Iyengar and K. Pattabhi Jois; Duncan Wong, Martial Arts and Astanga Master and founder of YOGIC ARTS; Sri Aadil Palkhivala, founder of Purna Yoga, from the lineage of Sri Aurobindo and long time student of BKS Iyengar; and Masters Rodney Yee and Shiva Rea. Fred happily bows to the lotus feet of Yogiraj Rod Stryker.
Fred has been blessed to be in the sacred PRESENCE of his Divine GURU, Swami Paramahamsa Nithyananda, and to have taken Darshan with him and receive initiation.
