Om, Pranavah, Chanting the Sacred Sound, Meditating on the Eternal

Actual universe is built upon sound and energy that is structured like that, and Om is that maintaining force. This is esoteric stuff, I am only giving you little bits and pieces of information so you can research it on your own. Patanjali teaches that the repetition of Om should be made with an understanding of its meaning. As you Om, as you chant Om—and this is pure Tantric stuff, he’s giving you the practice, chant Om.

This is an ancient Tantric practice, so although many look at tantra as separate from Patanjali Yoga it is clearly contained throughout the Yoga Sutras. you can’t really separate them like that. As you chant Om, meditate on the eternal. Period. Meditate on the eternal stillness within you, because that gives you the complete experience.

Patanjali continues to express how from that is gained introspection and also the disappearance of obstacle. That’s quite useful. Since that’s the whole problem, the obstacles in the way of us living in our own bliss in our own truth, in our own present moment. Ok, chant Om and meditate on its meaning and the obstacles disappear instantly. The obstacles that are going to disappear are these, these are the obstacles that are going to be disappearing when you chant Om: Disease, inertia, doubt, lack of enthusiasm, laziness, sensuality, mind wandering, missing the point, instability. Missing the point, isn’t that a funny one? It’s so annoying to go miss the point isn’t it? These distractions of the mind are the obstacles ok? These are the obstacles, ok! Chant Om, meditate on it’s meaning and those are gone, none of that stuff exists.
