Benefits of Yoga

There are many benefits to practicing Yoga.  Most of the benefits associated with Yoga are increased with a regular practice, meaning that the more you practice yoga the greater the benefits and the longer they are able to be experienced.  Benefits to Yoga practice are on all the dimenions from the phystical to the spiritual.  On a physcial level a student can lose weight and tone their body and increase strength and range of motion amonst other benefits.  On the level of the mind the student will receive benefits ranging from increased abiltiy to concentrate and ability to keep emotions balanced even in turbulent situations. From the spiritual level Yoga can bring us closer to our own inner dvinity and provide the environment for us to remove the obstacles blocking us from experiencing true and deep well being.

Yoga is a multidimensional practice that offers benefits on many levels. Physically a regular Yoga Practice brings strength, muscle tone, weight loss, range of motion, improved blood flow and increase immune system and digestion.  Yoga will also teach you Pranayama (breathing) techniques which will help you to breath deeper in general and feel the benefits of more oxygen.  Mentally Yoga practice increase concentration, reduces stress by providing a calm state of mind bringing a general sense of well being.  If so inclined Yoga also has spiritual dimension allowing the practitioners to experience fearlessness by realizing their true nature.
